The Marvellous Corricks & Restoring the Magic

An amazing archive of over 130 films made at the turn of the 20th century and stored in a garage in Tasmania has been saved and restored by the National Film and Sound Archive.

The Marvellous Corricks and Restoring the Magic (2014)

Dir: Jacqui North, 28mins

Enter a world of fantasy, romance, exotic lands and vivid reality. The Marvellous Corricks, a talented family of musical entertainers, first toured silent films over 100 years ago. Two new documentaries tell the story of the family, the rediscovery of the films stored in a Tasmanian garage and the restoration of 130 films by the NFSA.
